Bridge of Flowers

Week 3 of the Last Scrapper Standing.  Here is the sketch layout that needed to be followed.  We are down to 8 challengers.

The following needed to be used on the layout:

Border Punch

2 Different Patterned Papers

Handmade Flower or Embellishment

Ribbon or Lace

 2 + Photos

At first I didn’t know what to do with this sketch.  But after I picked my photos and paper it came together pretty easily.  I like the end result.

And I had to have the second page to go with it, of course.

We stopped in Deerfield, MA, on our way home from our Boston trip to visit this beautiful Bridge of Flowers.

Butterfly Kisses

This is the layout sketch for week 2 of Last Scrapper Standing.  There are 9 of us still going after week 1.

We needed to include at least 3 of the following:

Stick Pin

This is my layout.  I had so much fun making this.  I just love the bright colors and the flower paper.  I used embossing on the mat, butterflies, ribbon across the bottom half, and a flower in the girl’s hat besides the flower paper.

And of course I finished up by adding a second page.

When we were planning on stopping at the Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory, my daughter Lucy was not impressed.  For some reason she was afraid of butterflies.  As you can see, by the end of the visit, butterflies were no longer scary.  Grandma helped her get over her fear.

Groom Layout

I am using this layout in a “Last Scrapper Standing” challenge on Crafty Swaps and Challenges.   This is the sketch we needed to follow:

We also needed to include at least 3 of the following items:

misting ink

border punch

2 or more patterned papers

This sketch was difficult for me because I don’t usually scrap only one picture.  So it is a little modified, but I think you can see the idea is there.

I used a ribbon down the side of the page, buttons in the flowers, and 4 patterned papers.  I also don’t usually scrap one page layouts either, so here is the other page that goes with it.

This layout is of my son-in-law and his mother.  I promised Sarah, my daughter, that I would have her wedding book finished by June 4.  It will be their 2nd anniversary.  I’m trying, and hopefully will get it done.  I really want to finish it so I can start scrapping my 2 grandbabies.
