Double Z Fold Masculine Birthday Card

I have been doing lots of challenges and swaps on the Paper Paws Card Making & Swaps Facebook Page.  Recently I had to make a double Z fold card.  After looking at various Pinterest sites to get ideas this is what I came up with.

I used my Cricut Explore and cut out the cute plane from the Pop Up Neighborhood cartridge.

Another view of the birthday greeting, which I wrote with my Cricut Explore.  I really love my Explore.  I just wish my internet connection was better.

A slightly different version of the design.  This one I reversed the plane direction and added the banner.

Christmas Card Swap

I have been doing a bunch of card swaps lately.  This picture is from the Christmas Card Swap I did.

I made 3 different cards per person, 4 people in the swap.  I used the Anna Griffin Winter Wonderland cricut cartridge for the jingle bells and the bell.  The Christmas Tree is from the Winter Frolic cricut cartridge.

Thinking of You Card Swap

These are the cards I made for a card swap.

????????

I used the Create a Critter Cricut cartridge for the tulips and the Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge for the matt.  Embossed the matts with Cuttlebug Divine Swirl or Swiss Dots embossing folders.  Then added some stickles glitter to the tulips and adhesive pearl dots for the finishing touches.

For the inside of the card I used a stamp from Hot off the Press and added another tulip cut.

I am happy with the way they turned out.  My husband bought me the new Cricut Explore Air for our anniversary so I used Cricut Design space to create the cards.  I have to say that I am impressed with it.  I wasn’t sure that I would like having to be connected to the internet, but having all the cutting files in a directory, easy to access, makes up for the inconvenience of the internet.  Love being able to view all of the images.

Mini Album Page

I used to belong to a yahoo group that was for scrapbooking swaps.  I really enjoyed it.  Then it just stopped after last Christmas with no explanation.  So I was invited to join a mini album group where they do swaps.  I had never done a mini album but I thought it was worth a try.

Our project was to make a 5×7 page to fit on a hinge album.  Good thing for YouTube so I could see what a hinge album was.  The theme was Christmas.  Since Christmas is my favorite time of the year I had plenty of scrapbook paper to do this page.

This is how my page turned out.

The front of the page.  I wish you could see the glitter.  It is so much nicer when you can see it in person.  If you double click on the photo you can enlarge it and then you can see the glitter much better.

Front of Page

The inside of the front page.  I included a waterfall set of mats and a beautiful glittered candle on the other side.

Inside Front Cover

The inside with the flap open.  Here you can see there is a picture matt in the middle and tags for pictures or journaling on the inside flap.

Inside

The back of the page.  The glitter ribbon is made for a picture to slide under.

Back of Page

From the pictures you can see a green tab.  This pulls out into a file folder.

The inside of the folder.  The tree is all decked out in glitter ornaments.  The presents are tucked in and can be used as journaling tags.  A picture can be placed on the folder behind the presents.

Folder Inside

The outside of the folder.  Two matts to add pictures that will slide in behind the glitter ribbon.

Folder Outside

I like the way it turned out and will have to try making more of these for myself.  Glad I joined this group.  Anyone else want to join?  I sure am having fun!

Bread Mix Box

I started to work on Christmas presents with my daughter, Sarah.  She bought her sister-in-law, Nicole,  ceramic loaf pans for Christmas.  She wanted to make up bread mixes and recipes to go with the pans.  She didn’t want to give her the mixes in just a plastic bag so we made this cute box to put the plastic bag in.

Bread Box Front

The box is about 7.5″ x 6″ x 1.5″, about the size of a cake mix box.  This is a picture of the back of the box with a place to put the recipe in.

Bread Box Back

I think the moose is adorable and I just love the country themed paper. Can’t wait to get started on the next one.

Halloween Candy Bar Wrappers

I’m back!

I am finally starting to get some inspiration to craft again.  It’s taken a long time.  I attended an all day scrap a few weeks back and that gave me the start I needed.  Then I attended a CTMH scrapbook workshop last weekend.  Even though I didn’t get much done it managed to get my mojo working.

Here is a picture of the Halloween candy bar wrappers that I made for my co-workers.  Filled each with a Hershey bar.

Halloween Candy Bar Wrappers

I used the cutting file for the wrappers from Treasure Box Designs and embellished them with other cutting files from My Scrap Chick and Miss Kate Cuttables.  Stickles added the finishing touches that I wanted.

I am really happy with the way they turned out.  My co-workers enjoyed them too.

The Cake Cutting

My daughter, Sarah, celebrated her 2nd wedding anniversary in June.  We are still working on her wedding pictures.  We are on album #3.

This is the layout she and I worked on together and finally finished.

The Cake Cutting

I don’t usually do this kind of block layout, but I think it turned out nicely.
